Here are some of the latest from Sis:
So
I absolutely love doing the Lord's work even though it is hard
sometimes...I know it's worth it! And I appreciate all your support and
love!!! It helps a ton!
This week was great! The Lord is leading us to some
great ppl! We were out one night and there was this couple that was
looking for a little 8yr old girl that was missing and asked us to help.
We didn't find her then the next day we went back to the couples house
and asked about the girls she was found. Then we started talking about
what we do and they love us! They fed us dinner and call us Heaven sent
because we are showing them God's love they tell us :) It's moments like
those that I love! Then Sunday there was this lady that went to church
in the AP's ward and she lives in our boundry lines. She loved it and
the Elders taught her and she wants to be baptized! The Lord really does
work in many ways and a missionary once told me that the Lord could do
this work without us but it is for us to be truly converted to him!
I'm soo blessed to be a part of this work! I'm so
excited for Trav and all his buddies to be able to experience the joy of
sharing God's love with others! I'm glad his seminary thing went good! I
probably won't recognize the place when I get back;)
Thank you for all that you do! You are all in my prayers!!!
Love,
Sister Toomer
I'm not a Tumor!
I know this Gospel's true with all my
heart my testimony has grown so much!!! I'm soo lucky to be serving the
Lord! My companion and I have been doing our best in finding more people
to teach and this weekend we had fasted for that. When we were walking
over to dinner. There was this lady that came out of her house we talked
to her and she opened up to us. It was surprising but I loved it! She
told us that she had had several tumors and had just lost her boyfriend.
We introduced the Plan of Salvation and told her that she was a
daughter of God and that she was loved! It was amazing to feel the
spirit working through us and it helped me realized the reason I'm out
here. I will always remember her saying I just need to give you a hug
and thank us over and over again. We are so blessed to know what we do
know! The Lord does love us and cares so much for us personally! :)
I also got the privilege to usher a BYU concert and hear some
really uplifting songs. We also did exchanges so Sister Brinker stayed
in our area and I went to Pasco, Washington with another Sister in a
Spanish area. haha I pretty much got Hola down but other than that I was
so lost. Good thing I'm English speaking. I know that what I'm teaching
people is true and every time I do it's another testimony builder!
Thank you for all your wonderful examples and encouragement in my
behalf. I love you all and wish you the best! You are always in my thoughts and prayers. Keep the faith!
Love,
Sister Toomer
PS Love walking areas! They keep my freckles popping and my tan line going:)
