In other news....

I know this is "Sister Toomer's" blog but I just have to say for those of you that don't already

know.....Travis got his mission call!!!

 Nashville, Tennessee!!!!

We are so excited for him!! He reports on July 2nd....so he'll have a good month after graduation to get all ready! These Toomer's make the best missionaries!!

A little about Richland....

Here's some more of the latest from Sister Toomer. She is doing great!! (She also cracks me up...this is a funny one!!)
I love you!!! Ya wow talk about crazy weeks! It has been hard but good! Our new area is great! So I picked up Sister Brinker on Wednesday and we traveled with other missionaries and got settled in, come to find out we are in a walking area with a crappy map and no idea who the previous Elders were teaching, because they don't take very good notes and they tracted a lot, so they really didn't have a lot of people they were teaching in this area. Good thing the previous missionary was in my zone so I talked to him about the area and got a better idea and a better map from the Relief Society President. But it felt like starting from scratch which wasn't bad but it was just a bit stressful, and our ward missionary was out of town and our bishop couldn't help us because he's super busy....wow after writing all that I'm surprised I survived! jk it wasn't that bad. My companion is great. Her name is Sister Brinker and she is 25 years old. Really shy, but I'm working on that because as a missionaries you have to talk to strangers and be social. You would be surprised I'm like this social butterfly now...crazy huh! Anyway my new companion is from Salt Lake so yes another Utah comp! They are great so I'm excited to get to know her better. I defiantly need to work on my patience though I think that's why I'm put in this area with Sister Brinker, but with the Lord's help it will all work out! I love you all so much and I'm really doing good I just complain a lot. I'm excited for this new area because there are many members that are willing to help and support us.

We had a lesson with a Hispanic and his son and we called one of the ward missionaries (not knowing her beforehand) and She was a recent convert and was more than willing to help. She is sooo cool! And the lesson went great because the spirit was there when she bore her testimony of how she knew the B.O.M. was true. It's not us doing the work it's the spirit. And I'm learning more and more to rely on him!!! I love you all!  Proverb3:5-6!

New area....Richland, Washington!!!

Sis was transferred.....we are excited for her! Here is some of her latest:

Love you fam!!!! Wow where is the time going, seems like I just got here. This week was GREAT! Zach got baptized by his dad who is less-active and they realize the difference the gospel makes in the family, so they are trying to make it to church! And Megan the lady that was excommunicated got baptized!! Man the spirit was so strong and you could just tell that Heavenly Father was just waiting with outstretched arms:) loved it! I love being a missionary!
So I am being transferred............headed to Richland Washington. Crest View ward and I am training a new missionary again. Also I must have done something right because my companion Sister Brudnicki is staying in Pendleton and is training as well. Wow still hasn't hit me yet...anyway, I'll need all the prayers I can get;) I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week.
I love you!

Hello from Sister Toomer!

Here's the latest from Sister Toomer!

I have been in Pendleton for my whole mish so I think I might be moving. Transfers are next week so I will let you know what happens. Wow count down for the Basketball season. Wish him (Travis) my best!! I'll be praying and rooting for him. Man Trav's papers are taking forever. I should've showed him how it's done. jk
So over here we are just teaching and testifiying I love it so much!!! This week I've been hearing a lot of things like: "I would never have let the Elders into my home but you sisters seemed to have something special!".  It's exciting to know that I'm out here for a reason. Cynthia, the lady that just got baptized, bore her testimony yesterday--it was sooo cool! I was super proud because she is a really shy lady and she just knew it was true and said she just needed to get up. We are also teaching this cute newly wed couple. The guy is less-active and the girl is a non-member and she is only 18! Super crazy but she loves learning so it's a blast. I love the work and I love you all soooooo much!!!
Love you!
