Monday is email day!! (And Sister T's P-day!) Here is the latest from our amazing girl!
Hey Fam!

So this week has been absolutely amazing! I can really feel your support and love from all your thoughts and prayers, so thank you so much for that!!! We have Al Bennett's baptism this Saturday- he is this sweet adorable 73 year old and loves the gospel! We also are teaching this Hispanic man that understands English but doesn't speak it very well, but at least he says he is understanding. Anyway we tracted into him and gave him a Book of Mormon and when we returned like a week later he had read 1Nephi! It was awesome, but wait it gets better we had this girl that went to mutual and really liked it and came to us wanting to know more and she was at church yesterday!!! Also our less actives are starting to come to church and wow it's awesome! I know it won't be like this forever on my mission but I'm loving it, and I really want to thank all of you for putting me in your prayers because I know the Lord is answering and wants the best for us! The gospel is so amazing and I did take it for granted, but I know that Christ understands and wants us to be happy :) Going on a mission was the best decision ever! Thank you for helping me make that possible! You all are wonderful examples and I hope all is going well with everything!!! Love you lots!

The latest...

Here is part of an email that Sister Toomer sent today!

Thank you so much for sending your love and support my way, I can definitely feel your prayers and love! Keep up the missionary work over there because members really do make a HUGE difference!!!! I know you can do it because you can do hard things, and when you focus on charity it makes the work go by so much better!

The work here is AWESOME, we visit a lot of less actives but also teach investigators the important parts of this wonderful gospel! There was this young girl that we were teaching and we showed her the Faith in Christ movie and she didn't even know who baby Jesus was...so sad-but I'm excited that we have the chance to tell her now!

Also we have a baptism for this cute cute guy that is 73 next week--super stoked and can't wait for him because he is adorable and loves this gospel. Growing up I took the wonderful blessing of this gospel for granted, and now I see the importance!

The members here are great and we are working hard to get them going with missionary work! So I know the missionaries there love any effort you guys put forth.  I'm still keeping myself healthy and the members feed us like everyday. I'm so blessed, so blessed! Love you all so very much!!!!
She is doing so great!

Write Sister Toomer a letter!!

Sister Toomer wants to hear from you!
She has very limited time to check and reply to emails on her P-day, so letters are best! That way she can read and re-read them throughout the week!

Email from Sister Toomer

Here is a recent email and pictures from Sister Toomer! If it sounds a bit random it's because she is replying to an email I sent her and is answering a lot of my questions. She is amazing!

I'm finally here on my mission :) but I'm actually in Oregon! Pendleton to be exact--it is such a cute little town, I absolutely love love love it here! My comp is sooo amazing! I adore her, she has been here for about 14 months and has this whole mission thing down! Such a cool chick...she is actually from Orem, her name's Sister Clegg.
Anyway the food at the MTC was pretty good probably because we were at the west campus, but now that I am out in the field the members feed me like I'm royal or something...It's awesome! haha my comp and I just bought a workout video at walmart so we don't become too big;) Also my apartment at the MTC was like a regular apartment and there was 4 sisters there, but here in Pendleton my comp and I have an apartment to ourselves which is super cool cause it has a kitchen and 2 bedrooms. We have to sleep together so we have a spare bedroom.
I gotta say I just think mission life is grand! I'm trying to be my best here and so far its going great! My first night here I had a lesson with this 17 year old girl and the spirit was so strong. My comp encouraged me to ask her to be baptized so I did, and she actually said yes..this rookie missionary over here didn't know what to do because I thought she would say no-but good thing we work in twos because my comp backed me up and said she needed permission since she was underage.  She said that might be a problem since her dad's a strong catholic, so we are praying for her dad to soften his heart.

This is my new comp! She's AWESOME!!! She is from Orem Utah and has been on her mission for 14 months! I'm in very good hands here in Pendleton:)

Love you all!!

She's here!

Tiffany is out in her mission! We were so excited to get a wonderful letter from her mission president and his wife letting us know she has safely arrived and is doing great! Here is the letter:

Dear Missionary Family,

We are delighted to inform you that your missionary has arrived safely to the Washington Kennewick Mission.  We already love them and are excited to serve with them.  We have enjoyed becoming acquainted with them and are confident that they will become an effective instrument in the hands of the Lord in sharing the gospel with the people of Washington and Oregon.

We have assigned them a companion who is an experienced, devoted, and motivated missionary.  All of our missionaries understand that one of the greatest privileges available in the mission is to train a new missionary.  This first companion will be a special person in your missionary’s life and will help give them a great start here.

We feel that our greatest responsibility is the care and welfare of your child.  We want to assure you that we will be in close contact with them.  We will be observant of their physical health, happiness and spiritual well being.  We will work closely with them throughout the mission to help them succeed and fulfill their calling as a representative of the Church and as an ambassador of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Please be assured that we will be in contact with you if we encounter any concerns that would call for your attention.  We see you as a great asset to the success of your missionary while they are serving here and will work closely with you if the need arises.  You would help us immensely by informing us of any changes to address, phone number or email for you, your bishop or your stake president.  We want to keep our records current so that we can keep in touch whenever necessary.

Attached are photographs of your missionary taken with us at the welcome dinner at the mission home, along with a map that identifies your missionary’s first area.  Please feel free to contact us at the mission office with any questions that you may have.

Thank you for the sacrifices you are making at home to have your missionary in the field.  We have seen the Lord bless the families of missionaries who are serving in untold ways.  We know that His blessings will be upon you as well.

With love,

President Boyd S. Ware    Sister Linda P. Ware
